TN Mountains Jeep Jamboree
got some trail time at the 2018 TN Mountains Jeep Jamboree. Got to flex, use the lockers, and spend about 8 hours each day on the trails. Back home now with just some dings in the skid plates and rock rash on the wheels. Overall, it performed quite well.
This is from my Show & Tell thread but also sharing here.
When I had my JKU I made this custom tailgate table from Starboard marine board. Basically HDPE plastic board, and a stainless piano hinge and hardware from Lowes and some paracord. Just have to drill a few small holes in the plastic...
Installed MOPAR door sill guards
Installed the MOPAR door sill guards. Plastic, peel and stick. Look good, wish they covered a little more area than they do though.
Installed trailer hitch
Installed a Quadratec trailer hitch over the weekend. On the JLU's with steel bumpers interestingly enough I used the Quadratec JK hitch that ISN'T compatible with the 10th Anniversary/Hard Rock bumpers. The key thing is needing one with the retaining nuts for the 4...
Installed MOPAR roof rack
Installed the new MOPAR removable roof rack over the weekend. Pretty straight forward install, just unbox and tighten some screws. Mount everything to rear rain gutters so front panels can still come off. They did a good job of padding and spreading out the contact...
FYI, for those interested in the Mopar JL Splash Guards, Mopar Part #: 82215332AB -- they only fit the Sport and Sahara, not the Rubicon with high flares.
Tried to install today and learned quickly and returning to Quadratec.
On my JKU Rubicon I installed front mud flaps with removable plastic...
First time I've ever Plasti-Dipped anything but after some YouTube learning thought I'd give it a shot.
We live on a dirt/gravel road and I've always hated how exposed and eaten up the door hinges get. I had the Bestop plastic protectors on my JKU but they don't fit the JLU so just went my own...
First pics in the driveway at home. Really good first initial impressions. Jeep engineers did a really good job updating the JLU by addressing 'problems' or weaknesses or just consumer trends from the JK. Looking forward to the evolution from here and adventures down the trail.
it's home
out with old, and in with the new. I have to say it's definitely a step up and impressive how well they addressed a lot of weaknesses of the JK in the new JL.
Picked up my JLU Rubicon today. Found one with everything I wanted, except the tow package. So now I just need to add a hitch, mainly for bikes and cargo carriers.
Having some trouble figuring out which hitch mounts are compatible.
There are only 2 existing bolts in place under the bumper...
I've read a few things on what came in/on JLU Rubicons in regards to factory accessories.
Do hard top storage bags come included with factory hard top option?
Anybody have a concise list of all the little things that are supposed to come with the JLU Rubi?
